Are Dyson ‘ball’ vacuum cleaners good or not good?

any views appreciated ……

Dyson vacuums are great and the ball vacuum works as well as the standard vacuum. I don’t personally like the ball vac because they’re top heavy and don’t like going in a straight line without great effort of the user. The ball vacuums are also not as stable when parked for using the hose as their standard counterparts. Again, Dysons are great vacuums, but IMHO the ball vacs are over hyped in easy of use and necessity of function. I’d recommend going to a local retailer and using one in the store and comparing it to standard models.

The DC24 is just a smaller version of the DC25. The cup is way too small for any amount of cleaning, so if you’ve got more than a one room apartment you won’t be happy with it.

Have you looked at the DC33?

If money is a concern, take a look at the Shark Navigator. It’s much lighter and smaller. Even better would be the Navigator Lift-Away, which is an upright and a canister in one AND has steering that is well balanced and works well.
